Please read about the new young stars we have recently funded, including a local boxing club. We have also re-funded Abby Miles and wish her good luck representing England in South Africa at the Netball World Cup later this year.

Scott Gunning (Athletics)

My name is Scott Gunning and I primarily compete over 400m as well as 200m. I am currently a member of Swindon Harriers and Coventry University Athletics Club and have also represented Wiltshire multiple times.

Throughout my athletics career I have won several medals at both county and regional level, including gold over 200m at the South West Indoor Championships and over 400m at the South West Inter-County Championships. Last year, whilst representing Coventry University, I also made the semi-final over 200m at the British University Championships giving me the opportunity to compete against some of the best young athletes in the country.

I would like to say a massive thank you to Doing It For Dan for their support this year and I hope that I can use their support to progress further towards my goals for the season which include competing at the Southern Athletics Championships and winning medals at both the Wiltshire and South West Championships.

Thank you for your very kind donation, we really appreciate it. It represents a significant amount of money to us.

Jack Latus (Athletics)

I am Jack Latus, 16 years old and a 1500m athlete for Wiltshire and Swindon Harriers. I started running September 2016. My 1500m PB is a 4:14 which I achieved at Wiltshire Schools 2018. This sets me up nicely for my track season in 2019 to be able to aim for a 4:06 which will qualify me to run at English Schools. I am also a BMC academy member for 2019.
