Hi, My name is Luke and I am a 15-year-old track and field athlete from Yate and District Athletic Club. I have been training in athletics since I was 9 years old and I compete regularly in many athletics events, but my main event is high jump.
In 2017 and 2019 I was the number 1 ranked athlete in the UK in high jump in my age group (U13 and U15). In 2019 I won eight championship gold medals, including the national indoor and outdoor championships and the South West Schools Combined Events Championships. The highlight for me was winning the gold medal at the prestigious English Schools Championships, representing Avon Schools.
I really enjoy training and competition and am looking forward to the 2020 season.
