Rebecca Heaps

Rebecca is a 12 year old tennis player currently ranked 11 in the country in her age group. Aged 10, she won the national tour finals for her age group and last year she represented GB in two friendly matches.

She trains daily at the Delta in Swindon, and the funding from Doing it for Dan will help pay for her three individual lessons and 4 squad sessions a week, competition entry fees (which are extraordinarily high) and may help us do European competitions.

Abby Miles

My name is Abby Miles and I am 19 years old and have played netball since the Age of 9.

I play Regional Level netball having just won the league and gaining promotion. I’ve also previously played in the National Performance League U19 for TeamBath.

I decided to trial for the England U21 Indoor Netball/Nets Team in February 2018 in Bristol and was then invited back for a second trial in Birmingham and was successfully selected as part of the U21 long squad.

I am currently training in Birmingham and working hard in gaining my place for final selections into the England U21 Squad who will be travelling to South Africa in 2019 to take part in the Indoor Netball/Nets World Cup.

I’m very grateful in receiving my grant which will help towards training, travel and equipment.

I endeavour to work very hard and fulfil my dream in playing for England.

Delleah Belgrave

12 year old Delleah Belgrave is a member of swindon harriers. She started at the age of 10 in the quad kids squad where she realised her potential in sprint distance. In 2017 whilst competing for the under 13 girls she had travelled around the country to compete in indoor and outdoor meets and picked up a great amount of medals, club records and personal bests. She became wiltshire 200m gold medalist and 100m silver medalist and a double gold medalist representing wiltshire in the south-west inter counties for 100 and 200m.

To end the season She was also rewarded club athlete of the year, track girl Athlete and league champion. Now Delleah is competing in the U15 girls category she will also be competing in long jump and hoping  to qualify for English schools athletics in the summer.

She has been training really hard 3/4 times a week in all weather conditions and Doing it for Dan’s funding will help her with new running equipment and travel cost to compete again this year and keep her performances at a high.
