Zoe Hewlett (Climbing)
Zoe is 14 and started climbing following an open day at her local Climbing Centre – Rockstar in September 2016. Soon after Zoe joined the Boulder South West Squad and started competing in January 2017. Since then Zoe has won and placed in many competitions all over the UK and is now in a great place to challenge for a space on the GB Development team, which would be an amazing achievement in only 15 months in the sport.
Climbing is having its first showing at the Olympics in Japan in 2020 and is one of the fastest growing sports in the UK. Over the next year Zoe will be competing in many national competitions organised by the UK climbing’s governing body The BMC (British Mountaineering Council), where the road to the GB Development Squad will begin. Zoe short term goal is to be considered for the GB Development squad in December 2018, yet long term goal is to win medals for team GB at international Events across the world and to become an Olympian.
Doing it for Dan’s kind grant will help Zoe participate in a very busy season ahead and enable her to have the best equipment and assistance throughout the year.

Many thanks for the support.
Sarah Wilson (Pentathlete)
Sarah is training to be a Modern Pentathlete. This involves training in five sports. She started with biathle (continuous run-swim-run) and was unbeaten in the 2015 British series. She also went on to represent GB in the world championships in Georgia, which she won. She then joined Bath Pentathlon club and took up laser shooting and fencing. In 2016 she won the first ever triathle (continuous shoot-swim-run) to take place on British soil. This year saw her take Gold at the European triathle champs and bronze in the biathle.
She regularly attends training with the Pentathlon GB English Talent Programme and has just been selected for an U19 tetrathlon (fence, swim and laser/run) in December.
The support from Doing it For Dan will help her progress as she will be able to buy her own equipment and get some extra training sessions. We are truly grateful.
